WHO ARE WE?

Many other services have published that their employees are Emergency Medical Technicians/Attendants (EMT or EMA), and Emergency First Responders (EFR).  These designations are either not recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Health, or are an inadequate level of training for emergency medical services in the province. 

First Response Ontario Emergency Medical Services (FRO EMS) employs only Ontario Ministry of Health certified Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistants (A.E.M.C.A. or Paramedic) and under supervision, paramedic students from approved college programs.

Our teams of paramedics give us their time-off from their full-time positions with municipal paramedic/emergency medical services to provide high level, professional patient care to our clients.
